Ricky Lynn Olmstead, 71, of Alliance, passed away Friday, October 28th, in his home. Born in Canton on November 2, 1950, a son of the late Clayton Walter and Barbara Jean (Tourdot) Olmstead, also preceded in death by daughter Ladonna Marie Olmstead; sister Linda Sue Olmstead and brother Ronald Clayton Olmstead. He served in the U.S. Army as a SP 4 where he received the  National Defense Service Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Survived by 3 daughters Chyann Olmstead, of Canton, Shontay Shannon, of Louisville, Tiarra (Kenne) Peterson, of Navarre; 2 sons Ricky Olmstead, of Canton, Joey (Sonnie) Dunn, of Florida; 2 sisters Cindy Kay (Doug) Davenport, of Florida and Amy Jean Olmstead, of Alliance as well as 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 2nd in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home. Friends and family may call 2 hours prior, also in the funeral home. Burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens to follow.
