Robert Lee Dalton Jr., 78, of Canton, passed away Friday, May 21st, at Aultman Hospital. Born in Philippi, West Virginia on August 12, 1942, a son of the late Robert Sr. and Geneva (Decost) Dalton, also preceded in death by siblings Betty Myers, William Dalton, Daniel Dalton, Brenda Williams, and Ruth Ann Dalton. Robert was a 50 year member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. Survived by 2 daughters Cynthia Moegling, Lorrie Leggett; son Robert Dalton III; brother Steve Dalton; 7 grandchildren Michael Moegling Jr., Justin Moegling, Elizabeth, Emily Moegling, Jeremy Leggett, Christopher Dalton, Brian Dalton; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as companion of 20 years Judith E. Hinkle; multiple nieces; and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 27th at 11AM in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 26th from 5PM to 7PM, also in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
