Robert D Ghearing Jr, 57, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, June 7th, at Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Richmond, Indiana on September 16, 1959, a son of the late Robert D. Sr and Beulah (Laswell) Ghearing, also preceded in death by a close uncle Bill Ghearing. Served in the U.S. Navy for eight years, was employed as a customer service representative for the Wal-Mart of Myrtle Beach, SC before retiring, and was a member of Cathedral of Life of Canton. Survived by wife Norma Ghearing, married April 1, 1995; stepmother Carol Ghearing, of Clearwater, FL; daughter Erica Beers; son Robert D. Ghearing III, both of Michigan; 3 sisters Jaki Spencer, of Michigan, Terri (Mark) Besmer, of Denver, CO, Becky Collett, of Simpsonville, SC; brother Philip (Susan) Ghearing, of Dayton, OH; 3 nephews Matthew Besmer, Daniel Besmer, Darrell Bailey; niece Jessica Collett; brother-in-laws Charles Lovell of Oklahoma City, OK, John Lovell, of Dayton, OH; special friends Charlotte Asher, Brenda Halcomb; God-daughters Lori Richeson, Tiffany, Sarah Orr, Audrey Rowe; along with numerous grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date.
