Robert "Dale" Penix, 82, of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, August 23rd, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on April 24, 1941, a son of the late Franklin and Tessie (Hayes) Penix, also preceded in death by 2 brothers Al Penix and Kenneth Penix. Dale was a United States Navy veteran, serving between 1959 and 1962. An avid reenactor, Dale loved rendezvous. Survived by 3 daughters Angie (Charles) Motz, of Waynesburg, Tessie (Stuart) MacCaskill, of Spencer, NY., Danielle Penix, of Louisville; 2 sisters Betty Greene, Pearl Kirkpatrick; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Buck Skelton; as well as many nieces; nephews; family members; and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
