Robert L Peters

Robert L Peters, 79, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 20th. Born in Canton, on December 15, 1936, a son of the late Robert W and Elisabeth (McKibben) Peters, also preceded in death by a sister Judith E Klatt. Employed as a Power Plant Design Senior Draftsman for AEP of Canton and Columbus, retiring in 1998, he also served in the US Army from 1960-1962. Robert was an avid duck hunter, a devoted conservationist, loved golf and enjoyed beer with his buds at Bud's Corner. Survived by sister Mary Lou Schramm, of Walnut Creek, California; a niece Julia Carson and nephew Joshua Rosenthal, of Washington DC; brother Jeff (Michele) Peters, of North Canton; 2 nieces Kelly and Elisabeth Peters.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 3-5 pm on Sunday June 26, 2016, in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home, immediately following there will be food and refreshments served in the Canton Eagles Aerie #141, 2800 Atlantic Blvd, Canton 44705. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ducks Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited, Inc., One Waterfowl Way, Memphis, Tennessee, USA 38120
