Robert F. Phillips, 69, of Midvale, passed away Tuesday, April 24th, at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia following an extended illness. Born in Dover on July 31, 1948, a son of the late Howard and Dina (Caravati) Phillips, also preceded in death by father and mother in law Charles and Norma Sours. Avid car enthusiest, he owned-operated Carrige Auto of New Philidelphia before retiring from the car business in 2011. Besides his wife Vicki (Sours) Phillips, married September 3, 1994, he is survived by 2 daughters Rachel (Anthony) Montero, of New Philidelphia, Crystal (Aaron Sigler) Phillips, of Bolivar; son Bob (Karen) Phillips, of Seattle, WA; 3 step-daughters Angie Neff, Jenny (Chuck) Wenger, all of Midvale, Kimmy (Steve) Stockdale, of Aurora; and 14 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 5PM in the Midvale United Methodist Church on Friday, April 27th with Pastor Lyle Warren officiating. A dinner will follow in the church hall.
