Rodney J. Mayle, 85, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, February 1st, at Aultman Woodlawn Compassionate Care Center . Born in West Virginia on November 1, 1937, a son of the late Ezra and Katherine Mayle, also preceded in death by loving wife Juanita; granddaughter Cheryl Mayle; 4 sisters and 4 brothers. A member of the New Covenant Church of Canton, Rodney retired from Republic Steel. Survived by 2 daughters Wanda (James) Mayle, of Louisville, Melanie Mayle, of Canton; 2 sisters Betty (Gifford) Parsons, of Peoria, Illinois, Nancy Mayle, of West Virginia; brother Elden Mayle, of Canton; 2 grandchildren Crystal (Dan) Miller, of Nashville, Tennessee, Stanley Lewis II, of Canton; 3 great-grandchildren Logan Miller, Madison Miller, StanleyLewis III and 2 brothers-in-laws Kenny Newman and Mike (Carmen) Mayle as well as many other family members and friends. A special thank you to Aultman Woodlawn Compassionate Care and to Rodney's close friends for all their support during his difficult times. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, February 7th in the New Covenant Church with Pastor Ron Mayle officiating. Friends and family may call 2 hours prior, also in the church. Burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens to follow.
