Obituary

Ronald "Scottie" Dryden, 72, of Canton, passed away Saturday, April 23rd, in his home. Born in Massillon on June 23, 1949, a son of the late Leslie and Blanche (Bowman) Dryden, also preceded in death by 2 daughters Tyla Morris and LCpl Stacie Dryden USMC. A member of the New Covenant Church of Canton and a retired welder, he worked as a driver for Pete's Towing for several years. April 16th marked his 28th year of sobriety. Survived by loving wife Tess Stidd; son Jacob Dryden, of Canton; sister Pammie Johns, of Eugene, Oregon and brother Phil (Judy) Dryden, of Massillon. Funeral  services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 29th in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Mayle officiating. Friends and family may call 2 hours prior to services also in the funeral home.
