Ronald Gene Zeffer, 72, of Akron, passed away Tuesday, April 13th, in his home. Born in Akron on August 8, 1948, a son of the late Bella "Bill" and Ida Mae (Curtis) Zeffer, also preceded in death by wife Johnnie (Skeen) Zeffer and brother Kenneth Zeffer. Employed at BF Goodrich, S.D Myers and Oliger Seed he also umpired for softball and baseball as well as coaching softball in Springfield. Survived by daughter Adrienne (Philip) Stump; son Paul (Louisa) Zeffer; brother Richard (Laura) Zeffer, all of Akron; brother in law Frank (Robin) Skeen, of Wellington, Florida; 4 grandchildren Miranda (Mike), Miriah (Craig), Marina (Jeremiah), Nick and 5 great-grandchildren Peightyn, Avalynn, Jocelyn, Raelyn, Nora; niece Lisa and 3 nephews John, Joey and Josh. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 17th at 1PM in the Chapel of Prayer Baptist Church, 1811 Brittian Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the church.
