Roy Lee Barnes, 68, of Peninsula, passed away Friday, July 5th. Born in Southerland, Virginia on May 15, 1956, a son of the late  John and Betty Mae (Neil) Barnes. Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Barnes. Roy proudly served in the United States Army. Survived by 3 sisters Gloria Jones, Linda Barnes, Carolyn Barnes; brother Harry Barnes; nephew Brian (Latasha) Barnes; nieces Latoya Callaway, Latasha Jones, Renee Barnes,  Azziza Barnes as well as a host of great nieces, nephews, family members and friends. A service will be held at a later date at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery.
