Roy A. Smith, age 85, passed away in his home, in Canton, early Sunday morning surrounded by his family. Born one of seven children to the late Arthur and Ruhama Smith of Erbacon, WV. He leaves behind his wife of 64 years Emogene Smith; daughters Billie Tinder, Sheila Yates, and the late Debbie (Jim) Vitale; sons Robert (Rhonda) Smith, Robbie (Tammy) Smith. He had 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren along with numerous friends who loved him dearly. He was a proud Army veteran and a retired plumber. He loved hunting and family poker games. Thanks to Community Hospice for their tremendous support and wonderful care. A graveside funeral service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, at 1pm on Wednesday, December 7th. Friends may call Tuesday, December 6th from 6-8pm in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home.
