Ruth Ann Nichols, 81, of Canton, passed away Monday, March 4th, at Danbury Senior Living. Born in Amma, West Virginia on August 30, 1942, a daughter of the late James Edward and Lynna Blanche (Ledsome) McGlothlin, also preceded in death by her husband Melvin Nichols; son Anthony; 6 brothers Harry, Euell Ray, Roy, Donald, Dale, Jerry, and Larry. Ruth operated and owned her own local business, Nichols' Upholstery for many years. Survived by daughter Donna Nichols Leahey; 2 sisters Janet and Karen; 6 grandchildren Lindsey, Lauren, Brentt, Alexander, Morgan, and Maxwell; 2 great grandchildren Selah and Daisy. There will be a combined Celebration of Life for Ruth and husband Melvin on March 30, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Fellowship Baptist Church of Canton South, 3741 Fohl St. S.W., Canton, Ohio 44706.
