Sandra L. Clendenin, 72, of North Canton, born Feb 8, 1951, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at her home. She bravely succumbed to chronic lung disease surrounded by family and friends. Once all of her "babies" (grandchildren) were able to visit, she left to be reunited with her beloved son Neal Smith and cherished mother Ruby Knepper, husband Charles Clendenin Sr., sister Patricia Davis, and brother Stanley Knepper. Sandy was most proud of her children, grandchildren and the home she made for them. She was an extraordinary homemaker, cook, and creator. She enjoyed interior decorating, gardening to attract butterflies and hummingbirds, kept indoor plants, loved to crochet, sew, craft, thrift and restore things. She made everything more beautiful than she found it. Sandy enjoyed shopping because she was the best gift giver and loved caring for and making others feel valued.  Survived by her son, William and Missy Smith and grandson Jake and Sage Rapp, along with her first Great grandchild Chase and a highly anticipated great granddaughter; Daughter, Carla Lawson and Mathew Wolfe and only granddaughter Jessie Lawson, grandson Avery and Elle Osborne, grandson Brock Lawson, and grandson Levi Lawson; Daughter, Tina Lawson and Jeremy Sallinger and grandson's Kamden Mayle, Kaice Sallinger, and Klayton Sallinger; 2 nieces Darla Hill, Lori Jackson; dear friends and especially treasured friends of her children that she cheered, supported, and at times mothered include; Bonnie & Sam Caldwell, Loretta Davis, Melissa McMonigal and "grandson" Dakota Shaffer, Misty Sterner, and Denise Jones. No services will be held at this time.
