Shirley M. Branan, 82, of Canton, passed away Monday, January 23rd, at Aultman Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Born in Canton on March 1, 1940, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Horn) Wortman, also preceded in death by son Howard Beard. A free spirit, Shirley was a mother to many and all who knew her, knew she loved to laugh. Survived by daughter Sherry (Dan) Karas, of Mesa, Arizona; son Doug (Sherry) Branan, of Canton; loving companion of 36 years Glenn Riggs, 5 grandchildren Andrea, Timothy, Danielle, Kristen, Doug; niece Sharon Gerber as well as other family members and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
