Shirley Ruth Spencer, 85, of Canton, passed away Friday, August 19th, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Alabama on January 31, 1937, a daughter of the late Sylvester and Lilly Ruth Dukes, also preceded in death by loving husband Richard Spencer Sr.; son Timothy L. Spencer; great-grandson Jaden and 5 siblings. A member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, she retired from the Sears Company of Canton. Survived by 2 sons David Michael Spencer and Richard (Rose) Spencer Jr., all of Canton; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
