Shirley A Stevenson, 84, of North Canton, passed away Friday, July 19th, at her residence. Born in Massillon on April 26, 1935, a daughter of the late Edward and Altha (McGovern) Stevenson, also preceded in death by her husband and father of her children Donald E. Rothermel, infant son Guy Brian Rothermel, and sister Dee Houvig. As a second grader at Lorin-Androus Elementary School of Massillon, she won Little Miss Victory for her class selling the most war bonds during WWII. Shirley had a rewarding career as an interior designer, passing her appreciation for beauty to every home she touched. Survived by daughter Stacie (Margie Stocker) Rothermel; 2 sons Kent (Linda) Rothermel, all of Canton, Kurt Rothermel, of North Canton; sister Alice Novak, of Massillon; 3 grandchildren Kryton, Kaylor, and Kytt Rothermel; many nieces; nephews; loving family; and friends.
