Stella Mogus
Stella Mogus, 91, of Canton passed away on Monday, February 24, in the Stone Crossing Care Center. Stella was born in Canton, Ohio on March 19, 1922, the daughter of the late Peter and Stella (Mitich) Vukich; also preceded in death by her husband Anthony J. Mogus Jr., died July 21, 1986; sister Mildred Zupkovich and brother George Vukich. Employed with The Hoover Company working in the machine shop until her retirement in 1953. A life-long member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church of North Canton and was a part of the Serbian Sisters of the Church for many years. Stella also had a passion for playing bingo. Survived by a sister Daisy 'Dunny' Matic of Lorain as well as numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Donna J. Vukich of Canton. Funeral Services will be held in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home at 11 AM on Saturday, March 1st, with Fr. Aleksa Pavichevich officiating. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to service also in the funeral home. Burial in Warstler Cemetery.
