Steven J. "Steve" McCormick, 57, of Canton, passed away Monday, March 1st. Born in Canton on April 3, 1963, a son of Twila Fano and the late John Albert McCormick. Besides his mother he is survived by companion of 37 years Carla Newman; 3 daughters Stacie Newman, Holly Newman, Erika Swayne, all of Canton; son Brandon Newman, of St. Petersburg, FL; 3 sisters Alice (Tim) Foltz, of Jackson, Theresa (Sam) Vorhies, of PA, Lana (Chris) Williams, of Waynesburg; 3 brothers Mike (Arlene) McCormick, Randy McCormick, Jimmy McCormick; half sister Carrie McCormick; half brother Gary McCormick and 9 grandchildren as well as numerous other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9th at 1:00 PM in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Paul officiating. Calling hours will begin at 11:00 AM also in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
