Theodor Gnes

Theodor Gnes, 64, of Canton passed away on Wednesday, February 12th, 2014 in the Rose Lane Health Center of Jackson Twp. following a lengthy illness. Theodor was born in Flensburg, Germany, on September 15, 1949. Preceded in death by his father Alex Gnes.

A veteran of the U.S. Marines serving as a L. CPL in the Vietnam War and worked as a self-employed carpenter. Survived by his mother Anna (Sawczuk) Gnes of Louisville; son Nicholas Gnes of the home; sister Midge Wolfe of Canton; four brothers Jerry Gnes of Louisville, Otis Gnes, Adam Gnes both of Canton and Dennis Gnes of Louisville.

Funeral Services will be held in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home at 5 PM on Saturday, February 15th, with Matthew W. Conley officiating. Friends may call same-day one hour prior to services. A private burial to take place at a later date in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
