Thomas J. Franklin, 64, of Canton, passed away Monday, June 6th, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on January 31, 1958, a son of the late Beed and Margaret (Brink) Franklin, also preceded in death by sister Joy Darlene Harmon, father-in-law Lewis Alkire, a grandson and 2 great-grandchildren. Survived by loving wife of 30 years Roberta L. (Alkire) Franklin, married September 1st, 1991; 2 daughters Shawnta (Paul Smith) Franklin, Darla (Carlos) Parish; 3 sons Thomas J. Franklin II, all of Canton, Paul (Fortune) Price, of Magnolia, Shaun (Jullian) Price, of Canton; 2 brothers Charles Brink, of Massillon, Clarence Davis, of Minerva; 21 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and mother-in-law Martha Alkire as well as many other loving family members and friends including special niece Angalena Lopez. Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, June 13th in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home. Burial at West Lawn Cemetery will follow.
