IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy
Clapper
October 2, 1961 – February 22, 2026
Timothy Clapper Sr., 64, passed away in his home on February 22nd, surrounded by his family. Born in Canton, on October 2nd, 1961, he was the son of the late Donald Keith Sr. and Norma Jean (Leidig) Clapper. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his long-term partner, Cheryl Callas. Timothy was the powerhouse bass guitarist and vocalist for the beloved band TC & the Dirty Three, where he brought energy, grit, and heart to every performance. A lifelong lover of classic rock, he didn't just play the music, he felt it. Whether covering legendary anthems or jamming late into the night, Timothy's passion for classic rock was unmistakable. The stage was one of his happy places, his bass guitar slung low, his voice carrying through the crowd, and a grin that told you he was exactly where he belonged. Outside of music, Timothy lived life full throttle. He loved fishing, finding peace in the quiet, and he never missed a good NASCAR or dirt track race. He enjoyed poker runs, sports of all kinds, and competition came naturally to him. In fact, Timothy was such a talented baseball player in his younger years that he nearly went professional, a testament to his dedication and athletic ability. But for all his accomplishments and passions, Timothy's proudest role was that of family man. Above the lights of the stage and the cheers of the crowd, above the races and the games, his greatest joy was his family. He was the biggest family man you could ever meet - fiercely proud, deeply devoted, and endlessly loving. His children and grandchildren were the center of his universe. Survived by 2 daughters Crystal Clapper, Allisha (Adam) Clapper; 2 sons Timothy (Randi) Clapper Jr., Jake Kroah; 2 sisters Joyce (Bill), Sharon; 3 brothers Don (Lareda), Robert (April), Todd (Barb); 8 grandchildren Shaylea, Aleasia, Adam Jr., Paris, Brea, Brayden, Anna'Lisa, Nate; 2 great-grandchildren Braxton, Azoria; 10 nieces and nephews; as well as other loving family members and friends.
