Timothy "CHAD" Matthews, 41, of Canton, Ohio, was born to Crystal Thompson and Timothy Matthews on December 21, 1984. He transitioned from this life and the lives of his family and friends on February 13, 2026, in Canton, Ohio. "CHAD" was preceded in death by his brother, Perry Kelley Jr.; and his maternal grandparents, Comella Curtis and John G. Thompson. Affectionately known as "CHAD," he touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He had a smile and laugh that were infectious and warm. He never met a stranger. If you knew "CHAD," his favorite part of each day was riding around, stopping and talking to everyone he saw. "CHAD" kept people laughing, always saying funny things. "CHAD" enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed being around his friends and family, but also enjoyed the quiet moments that he was able to spend at home relaxing. "CHAD" truly loved his children and his family. Those left to forever cherish the memory of "CHAD" include his mother, Crystal Thompson of Canton, OH; his father, Timothy (Martha) Matthews of Waynesburg, OH; three sons, Chavion Matthews of Atlanta, GA, and Jayden and Chaziere Matthews, both of Canton, OH; his uncle, Troy Matthews of Canton, OH; his sister, Cassondra Dalton of Zanesville, OH; his paternal grandparents, Sandra Matthews of Canton, OH, and Ronald Kelly of Cleveland, OH; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many friends.
