Victor "Papo" Figueroa Jr., 65, of Canton passed away Monday, February 2nd. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on October 28, 1960 to the late Victor and Susan Figueroa Sr. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by brother Angelo Figueroa. Papo was an Army Veteran who served his country with pride and honor. A long-time resident of Massachusetts, Papo spent many years building both his life and his livelihood there. He was the owner and operator of Papo's Painting, a business he ran with commitment and care, earning the trust and respect of his community through years of honest work. He was also an avid softball player, coach, and manager. Papo was a great cook who enjoyed being in the kitchen, he especially loved listening to the blues, a soundtrack that reflected his soul and appreciation for life's deeper rhythms. For the past five years, Papo made his home in Canton, Ohio, where he continued to live with the same strength, independence, and pride that characterized his earlier years. Survived by son Jason (Kristin) Fernandes; 2 daughters Tasha (Shawn) Crable, Lynette Figueroa; God father Lupe; 2 sisters Tina Croce, Tami DeVris; brother Robert Figueroa; 9 grandchildren Elisette, Nadia, Jason Jr., Love, Milton Jr., Marley, Kaleesi, Ryu, Cali; 2 great granddaughters Olivia, Nina as well as many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
