Vincent Mayle, Sr., 83, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, September 8th, at his residence following a 5 month illness. Born in Phillipi, WV on May 31, 1932, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was employed for Canton Wood Products for 45 years, and a member of Canton Freewill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents Ezra and Katherine Mayle, daughter Donna Kennedy, 2 grandchildren Kayleena and Eric Kennedy, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Survived by his loving wife Leona (Newman) Mayle, whom he married in 1957; 6 daughters Orlettia Mayle, Lachone (Jeff Carlisle) Mayle, Marsha Mayle, Kimberly (Antonio) Poole, all of Canton, Lashel (Raymond) Wesley of East Canton, Angela (Dave) Parsons of Belpre; 2 sons Vincent Mayle Jr., Terry (Nicole) Mayle, both of Canton; 2 sisters Betty Jo Parsons of Peoria, IL, Nancy Mayle, of Phillippi, WV; 2 brothers Rodney Mayle, Elden Mayle both of Canton; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 11 th at 11 AM in the Canton Free Will Baptist Church, with Rev. Marvin "Jack" Mayle officiating. Friends may call Thursday 6 - 8 PM in the Waltner - SIMCHAK Funeral Home and Friday one hour prior to services at the church. Burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
