Virginia Lavonne (Kerns) Croston, 77, of Canton, passed away Monday, January 13th, in the care of hospice. Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on October 4, 1942, a daughter of the late Bernard and Virginia (VanHorn) Kerns, also preceded in death by husband and father of her children Wilbur Croston Sr, 1 sister Betty Motz and 1 brother Bernard "Bud" Kerns. Retired from Republic Steel in Canton. Virginia is survived by husband Geoffrey Hein; 2 daughters Patricia (Alvin Jr.) Buck, of Malvern, Cindy (Mark) Riese, of East Sparta; 1 son Wilbur "Will" (Pam) Croston, of East Canton; 2 sisters Cathy Plott, of Malvern, Bonnie (Jeff) Jenkins, of Kensington; 2 Brothers Jerry (Kathy) Kerns, of Malvern, Ronny Kerns, of Arizona; 4 grandchildren Leslie (Bill) Michel, Alvin Buck III, Melissa (George) Schnegg, Wilbur Croston III and 5 great-grandsons Josh Michel, Tyler Michel, Matthew Michel, Sam Schnegg, and Max Schnegg. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 18th in the Waltner - SIMCHAK Funeral Home in Canton with Leslie Michel officiating. Friends and family may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 17th, also in the funeral home. Burial will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Louisville.
