Wanda R "Ponnie" Nero, 92, of Canton, passed away Saturday, December 26th, at Aultman Hospital. Born in Canton on June 30, 1928, a daughter of the late Charles and  Hilda (Palmer) Flanigan, also preceded in death by husband Royal Nero Sr. and sister Norma Vasilchek. Former member and Chaplain of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3747. Survived by daughter Alice Helm, of Canton; 3 sons Royal Nero Jr, of Canton, Ronald Nero, of Louisville, Rick Nero, of Canton; 2 sisters Dorothy Belles, of Canton, Betty Munger, of Malvern; 2 brothers Charles "Bud" (Judy) Flanigan, of Louisville, Raymond (Patricia) Flanigan, of Florida and 10 grandchildren as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 4th at 1:00 PM in Forrest Hill Cemetery with Rev. E. Keith Stephens officiating.
