Wilbur Lantz Sr. passed away on Saturday September 5, 2026 at Aultman Hospital. Born in Canton on October 10, 1958, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Perine) Lantz. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Adam Lantz, sisters Mary Lantz and Pauline Jamison, brother Michael Lantz, women who he shared children with Veronica Lantz, Wanda Newman, and Sharon Cook. Wilbur was a loving family man who cherished the time he spent with those he loved. He especially enjoyed family get-togethers, where he could be surrounded by the people who meant the most to him and make memories together. A devoted Cleveland Browns fan, Wilbur enjoyed cheering on his team and sharing in the excitement of football season. Wilbur was a hard worker throughout his life. He worked for as long as he was physically able, continuing until he could no longer walk. Even then, his determination and strong work ethic never left him. He continued to stay up and active, always finding something to do, especially cleaning and keeping things in order. He was a man who took pride in staying busy and doing what he could. Survived by 3 daughters Paige (Nicholas Harvey) Lantz, Alexis Lantz, Vanessa Lantz; 2 sons Wilbur (Christine Jackman) Lantz Jr., Leon (Jessica) Hackworth; sister Michelle Patterson; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as other loving family members and friends.
