Obituary

Willa Mae Parker, 82, of Canton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 1st, while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Clayton, Alabama on January 16, 1941, a daughter of the late Jesse Sr. and Willie Lee (Blakey) James, also preceded in death by her husband Frank Parker Sr., passed away February 19th, 2018, son Frank Parker Jr. and sister Joyce Clifford. Survived by daughter Debbie (Alex Jr.) Davis, of Canton; sister Leida James, of Akron; brother Jesse James Jr.; 8 grandchildren Latesha (Anthony), Adela (Jason), Travis (Contessa), Shawn, Alicia, Alexis (Michael), Zachary, Lashaundra; step-brother Jerry Chaney; 27 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces; nephews; family members; and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, March 10th in the Greater New Hope Community Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2125 4th St. SE, Canton, OH 44707, with Pastor Kenneth Washington officiating. Calling hours will be held one hour prior in the church.
