William "Shakey" E. Lantz

William "Shakey" E. Lantz, 86, of Canton passed away Wednesday, November 20th in the Rose Lane Health Center of Massillon following a lengthy illness.

William was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 26, 1927, the son of the late William and Edna (Bennett) Lantz, Also preceded in death by daughter Pauline Jamison. A PFC in the U.S. Army, he was self employed as a notary and a locksmith and worked at St. Regis Paper Company of Canton.

Survived by his wife  Mary (Perine) Lantz, daughter Mary Lantz of Canton; two sons Wilbur 'Junior' Lantz of Canton, William Michael Lantz of the home as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home on Friday, November 22, with Pastor Ronald Mayle officiating. Friends may call same-day from 10-11 AM also in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
