IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William "Billy"
M Schlagenhauser
May 8, 1993 – March 21, 2025
William Michael "Billy" Schlagenhauser, 31, passed away on March 20, 2025, in Canton, Ohio. Born on May 8, 1993, in Canton, he spent his life surrounded by family and friends who cherished his presence. Billy had a deep love for music - there was never a wrong time to blast a song when he was around. His laughter was unmistakable, always rising above the crowd and bringing joy to those nearby. He found happiness in grilling out with loved ones, playing video games-where he was especially known for his skill in *Call of Duty*- and both watching and playing sports. He had a natural talent for electronics and took pride in his ability to figure things out with determination and skill. Despite facing many battles alone, Billy remained optimistic. Even in difficult times, he expressed gratitude for what he had and held on to his faith. He was fiercely competitive but carried himself humbly. His strong-willed nature was balanced by a loving heart, making him someone who could be both stubborn and deeply caring. Above all else, he longed for a big family and treasured the time spent with those closest to him. Billy survived by his mother, Cindy Caldwell ; his beloved daughter, Avaya Schlagenhauser; his grandmother, Patricia Carnes; his siblings: Steven Schlagenhauser, Mary & Tim Schaffner, Amber Hogg, and Danielle Caldwell; his Aunts and uncle: Vicki Blackburn, Cheryl Clarke and Robert Carnes; well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever hold him in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his father. William Salter: his grandfather, Robert Carnes; his aunt, Karen Way; and his cousins Kendra Carnes and William Bailey. Billy's memory will live on through the laughter he shared and the love he gave so freely. May those who knew him find comfort in remembering the joy he brought into their lives. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
