William "Willie" McLeod, 73, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, February 1st, at home surrounded by loved ones. Born in Skipperville, Alabama on January 23, 1950, a son of the late Willie Dowling and Cherry Mae (Taylor) McLeod, also preceded in death by sister Voncile McLeod, and brother Willie Floyd McLeod. Willie enjoyed playing pool, and was employed at Republic Steel as a locomotive engineer for 35 years before retiring. Survived by loving wife Debra K. (Katich) McLeod; 2 daughters Cheryse McLeod, Angela McLeod; sister Alice Roberson; 2 brothers Wayne McLeod, Sam (Denise) McLeod, all of Canton, as well as other family members and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday ,February 10th from 11AM to noon in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at noon with Pastor Howard Robinson officiating.
